Admission FAQ
How much clothing should be provided for each resident?
We would like families to provide at least seven days of clothing. It needs to include items that would be worn based on the season of the year. Slippers, robe, and sweaters would be great if possible. Clothing should be comfortable and easy to put on and take off.
Who does the residents laundry?
Holdrege Memorial Homes provides laundry services on-site.
What are the visiting hours?
We don’t have specific visiting hours. However, we request that you respect the rights of other individuals when you do visit. Please use your best judgment when deciding on how long to visit.
Is there a hairdresser available?
Yes. Regular visits to the in-house beauty shop are available to all residents.
Who do I contact if I have billing questions?
Our Business Office Manager, Robin Freeburg, should be able to help you with any questions or concerns you have. Robin can be reached by calling 995-8631
Who will make transportation arrangements for appointments and engagements away from Holdrege Memorial Homes?
We are happy to provide transportation services for residents. Arrangements can be made by contacting either the Charge Nurse or Social Services office.
What type of Activities are available?
A monthly calendar is posted which shows the daily schedule of activities. These include but are not limited to the following: Bingo, Music, Arts & Crafts, Cooking classes, Word games, Movies, Pet Therapy, Exercise, and Church services.
Are residents allowed to smoke?
As of November 1, 2007, Holdrege Memorial Homes is proud to be smoke free. Therefore, smoking and smokeless tobacco products are prohibited anywhere on the grounds for both staff and patients. For information on quitting smoking, residents can contact the Charge Nurse or Social Services office.
May we bring family pets to visit?
This is usually not a problem, but please check with the Charge Nurse to be sure.
